We are the «Worldwide Gardiki Omilaion Fthiotis Association for Culture and Development». Our Association, established in 1954, has 670 active members.
Gardiki Omilaion is a small village perched, at an altitude of 3000 feet, on the slopes of mountain Sarantaina in Fthiotis, Central Greece. More specifically its location is to the West of Lamia and of the historical Thermopylae and the Sperchios River. Fthiotis is the birthplace of the renowned Achilles.

Our village has long history. Today is inhabited by a few proud, hardworking people.
The core task of our Association is the continuous and fraternal communication, as well as the close cooperation with all our co-villagers for the promotion of our cultural legacy.

We are fervent supporters of the European Concept and Values such as freedom, justice, human dignity, friendship and cooperation for the progress and wellbeing of humankind.

Following the above mentioned it is strong wish of the head of Gardiki Omilaion municipality and the Board of Directors our Association to pay a visit to the institutions of European Union in Brussels. This will take place, in time you will specify in the context of invitations and programs you have on mutual understanding and cooperation with Municipalities, Associations etc. from EU countries.

We estimate that the call will highly assist in meeting the objectives of our association, our municipality and of course the main goals and key objectives of the EU.

Being sure that our request will be satisfied we are looking forward your response.
